Pediatric Disaster Science Scholars Program: August 11-12, 2025

August 11, 2025 to August 12, 2025

The Pediatric Disaster Science Scholars Program provides a structured approach to disaster science research, emergency preparedness, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Through a combination of interactive modules, recorded sessions, and hands-on exercises, participants gain the knowledge and skills needed to advance disaster research and improve emergency response strategies.

On August 11, 2025 and August 12, 2025, the Pediatric Disaster Science Scholars Program will host two days of in-person training. Only participants in the selected cohort may claim continuing education credit. Learning Objectives

  • Apply foundational health services research methodologies and data access strategies to pediatric disaster science.
  • Design and evaluate interdisciplinary, community-based disaster science projects, including proof-of-concept initiatives and program evaluations.
  • Develop skills in manuscript and grant writing, faculty development, and collaborative team-building to advance pediatric disaster research.
