Sarah Ronis, MD, PhD

Sarah Ronis MD PhD is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland Ohio. As an academic pediatrician and health services researcher devoted to improving systems of care for low-income families and their children, her work leverages qualitative and mixed methods approaches to incorporate the perspectives of multiple stakeholders into research efforts. Since 2019 she has served as the Director of the UH Rainbow Center for Child Health & Policy (CCHP), where she leads implementation research and program evaluation for philanthropically funded clinical programs at UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s and UH MacDonald Women’s Hospital, while also mentoring trainees in scholarly and quality improvement efforts related to child, family, and community health in ambulatory and community settings. Nationally, she serves as co-lead of the Pediatric Pandemic Network Community Engagement Service Core, and co-facilitates the activities of the Emergency Medical Services for Children Family Advisory Network, which ensures that family representatives are meaningfully integrated into State and Federal efforts to improve care of children throughout the emergency care continuum. She earned her Bachelor of Arts from Harvard College, Master of Public Health from the University of Rochester, and her MD as well as PhD in Clinical Translational Science from Case Western Reserve University.
