Ready When It Matters: A School Nurse Emergency Preparedness Toolkit
The goal of this activity is to engage school nurses in emergency and disaster preparedness. With this webinar, they will be introduced to the PPN School Nurse Preparedness Toolkit, which they can use to build or improve plans, conduct exercises, provide job actions sheets and checklists for members of their school team, along with many other preparedness activities. The webinar will be an introduction to the toolkit and a discussion with several school nurses in a conversation style format. The audience will be given an overview of disaster preparedness, the school nurse role, and ways for the school nurse to advocate for inclusion in the emergency planning team if not already there.
