Beth Lamkin, MSN, RN

Beth Lamkin, MSN, RN, is a pediatric nurse leader with more than a decade of experience in neonatal intensive care and pediatric healthcare systems. Since beginning her nursing career in 2012, she has worked extensively in high‑acuity neonatal environments at SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital, where she served as a neonatal ICU nurse and later as nurse manager of the Level IV NICU for over five years. Her clinical and leadership roles reflect a strong commitment to pediatric safety, quality care, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Beth currently serves as Project Manager for the STARS (Special Needs Tracking and Awareness Response System) Program, leading national expansion efforts focused on improving emergency preparedness and response for children with medical complexity. Her work supports first responders, healthcare systems, and community partners in delivering coordinated, compassionate care to pediatric populations during emergencies and disasters.
Beth’s dedication to this work is informed by both professional expertise and lived experience. As the parent of a premature infant who required NICU care, she brings a family‑centered perspective to pediatric preparedness initiatives. This perspective is further strengthened through her partnership with her husband, Dan, a career 911 paramedic and pediatric transport operations manager, providing her with a unique understanding of the intersection between healthcare delivery and emergency response systems.
