Pediatric Agitation: Emergency Department Management
Agitation can be a common feature in patients presenting to emergency departments for treatment. Agitated pediatric patients impact emergency department operations and require dedicated care from emergency department staff. Untreated agitation can negatively impact the patient, their family, emergency department personnel, and potentially other patients. In this learning module, we will present an evidence-based approach to managing the agitated pediatric patient in the emergency department.
