Danielle Joy has been involved in Emergency Medical Services (EMS) since 1995 and has served as a paramedic since 2001. She became a Registered Nurse in 2015 and currently works in the Emergency Department as an Assistant Director of Nursing at MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital, where her responsibilities include serving as Base Station Coordinator, EMS Liaison, and supporting emergency preparedness initiatives.

In addition, she serves as the EMSC Education Specialist with the Maryland Institute for Emergency Medical Services Systems (MIEMSS), focusing on advancing pediatric readiness and education across the state. Danielle brings decades of frontline and leadership experience dedicated to improving patient care and strengthening EMS and hospital collaboration.
