Katie has been a pre-hospital and interhospital EMS provider for over 20 years, with the last 15 as a pediatric/neonatal critical care paramedic. She specializes in pediatric critical care, having authored and presented lectures in both trauma care and resuscitation emergencies. Katie's special interest is in quality CPR in all populations, both for in-hospital and out-of-hospital cardiac arrest. In her free time, she also volunteers several times a month in a 911 chase care system to keep her adult skills sharp.
