The first DRC session will provide an overview of the collaborative logistics, phases, and structure; the goals and process for pediatric disaster response improvement; and highlights of the four focus areas that teams can select to work on: evacuation, reunification, surge capacity, and triage/infection control/decontamination.
After attending this session, participants should be able to:
- Describe the purpose of the Disaster Response Collaborative
- List the steps that teams registered for DRC will follow to complete the collaborative
- Provide a brief description of what a team should focus on during each of the four phases of the DRC
- Clarify how to form a robust/effective team where there is a plan for communication and sharing of workload during the collaborative
