Brittni Blaser, MIHMEP, MoCEM II

Brittni Blaser is a dedicated leader in emergency management and humanitarian health, with a specialized focus on pediatric disaster preparedness and response. As an Emergency Management Coordinator II at Children's Mercy Kansas City, she leads the development and implementation of enterprise-wide emergency response programs, ensuring hospital resilience in the face of crises. Her expertise includes risk assessment, regulatory compliance, emergency exercise design, and the creation of operational resources such as the organization’s Emergency Operations Plan, the 96-Hour Sustainability Plan, and various emergency action plans.
Brittni is also the driving force behind the Children’s Mercy Pediatric Medical Specialty Team (PMST), where she established foundational structures and developed training curricula. Through her leadership, the PMST was seamlessly integrated into the Missouri Disaster Response System, enhancing pediatric preparedness across Region VII.
She is the co-lead for the Family Reunification domain within the Pediatric Pandemic Network’s Disaster Management group and serves as a subject matter expert in Deployable Assets and Drills & Exercises, helping to strengthen pediatric disaster response capabilities.
Her extensive international experience spans public health, disaster response, and emergency medical team operations. As a Disaster Response Coordinator at Heart to Heart International, she played a pivotal role in the organization’s certification as an Emergency Medical Team (EMT) Type-1 mobile by the World Health Organization. She led emergency medical teams in Papua New Guinea and the Bahamas, provided strategic disaster response support, and established a fixed health clinic serving at-risk populations during the COVID-19 pandemic. Additionally, she has contributed to global public health initiatives with the Belize Red Cross and the Khmer Institute for National Development (KIND) in Cambodia.
Brittni holds a Master’s in International Healthcare Management, Economics, and Policy with a specialization in Global Health and Development from SDA Bocconi in Milan, Italy, and a Graduate Certificate in Health Emergencies in Large Populations from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. She is a Missouri Certified Emergency Manager II and an active member of the International Association of Emergency Managers (IAEM).
