Dr. Rosemarie Gachie Lopokoiyit is a Consultant Paediatrician and Director of The Pediatric Clinic Karen in Nairobi, Kenya, with over 18 years of clinical experience. She holds an MBChB and Master of Medicine in Paediatrics and Child Health from the University of Nairobi.

Dr. Lopokoiyit has demonstrated exceptional leadership in pediatric organizations, serving as former National Secretary of the Kenya Paediatric Association (KPA) for four years and currently as Co-Director of KPA's Early Childhood Development (ECD) Program.

She sits on the boards of the Kenya Paediatric Research Consortium (KEPRECON) and Kenya Children's Homes, and serves on the International Paediatric Association's ECD subcommittee.

Her work focuses on strengthening healthcare workers' capacity to integrate ECD into routine care. She helped establish KPA's ECD program, co-developed an online CPD course on ECD, contributed to the ECSAPACH ECD curriculum, and coordinated ECD tracks at KPA's annual conferences (2023–2025). She has collaborated with AAP, WHO, and UNICEF on various initiatives.

Dr. Lopokoiyit is a certified trainer in ETAT+ and Paediatrics in Disasters, and recently co-authored "Pediatric Considerations in Disaster Settings" (Springer Nature, 2025). She is passionate about ensuring every child gets the best start in life through comprehensive healthcare and advocacy.
