Israa Khan, MD MPH
Isra’a Khan, MD, MPH, FAAP is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Colorado School of Medicine and a pediatric hospitalist at Children’s Hospital Colorado. Dr. Khan is dedicated to advancing pediatric care through clinical excellence, education, and health equity. Her work spans hospital medicine, quality improvement, and pandemic preparedness, with a particular focus on supporting pediatric populations during public health crises.
In addition to her clinical responsibilities, Dr. Khan is a committed educator and mentor. She leads the Transition to Residency curriculum and is an active member of the Teaching Excellence Among Medical Providers (TEAM) program. She has developed and facilitated multiple national and institutional educational initiatives, emphasizing competency-based learning and mentorship for international medical graduates and early career pediatricians.
Dr. Khan’s scholarly contributions include peer-reviewed publications, book chapters, and grant-funded educational research. Her work integrates discovery, application, and dissemination, aiming to improve both pediatric care and provider readiness in times of health emergencies.
