Patricia Frost, RN, PHN, MS, PNP

Patricia Frost, RN,PHN, MS,PNP, is Executive Director of the National Pediatric Disaster Coalition. She is a Subject Matter Expert in Pediatric Disaster Emergency Operations and Management. Pat has decades of experience as a pediatric clinical, hospital, and EMS education, quality, public health, and ambulatory care professional. As a former county EMS director for Contra Costa County Emergency Medical Services in California, she held responsibilities for county-wide disaster medical health response and mutual aid for a community of 1.1 million and has been involved in numerous real-world disaster operations. Currently, she is adjunct faculty for the TEEX National Pediatric Disaster Response and Preparedness Program and the Beth Israel Pediatric Disaster Fellowship Program. As a consultant for the Region V for Kids Pediatric Disaster Consortium for Disaster Response and Pediatric Pandemic Network, she has created extensive educational materials and contributed to research on education and training, as well as specialty workgroups such as CYSHN, HVA, and the Disaster Response Collaborative. She serves as a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics Council on Children and Disasters and sits on several national steering committees associated with the EMS for Children programs, advocating for the inclusion of children with disabilities and complex medical needs in disaster preparedness. Pat serves on several steering committees, including the EMSC Pediatric Prehospital Readiness Program and the EMS.gov Pediatric EMS Dashboard Working Group.
