Hazel jeong, MD, MS

Yae Sul (Hazel) Jeong, MD is an Assistant Professor of Pediatric Emergency Medicine at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and The Ohio State University College of Medicine. She has completed her pediatric residency, pediatric emergency fellowship and disaster medicine fellowship. Her research is focused on pediatric disaster medicine, disaster medicine education especially focused on pediatricians and a special interest in Children and Youth with Special Health Care Needs (CYSHCN). She is the Disaster Ambassador for the AAP Ohio Chapter and the co-lead for the education subcommittee within the AAP Council on Children and Disasters (COCD). She is involved with several projects that have been funded by federal grants for pediatric disaster medicine and currently focusing on research efforts on pediatric disaster medicine and disaster medicine education with Region V for kids and the pediatric pandemic network. Dr. Jeong is instrumental in developing the pediatric disaster medicine research agenda and conducting a literature scoping review to identify trends and gaps in the field.
