Prehospital Pediatric Trauma Module Series
The goal of this activity is to improve prehospital providers’ ability to rapidly recognize, assess, and manage pediatric trauma patients using structured, evidence-based approaches and appropriate triage and transport decisions. The target audience should be able to apply the Pediatric Assessment Triangle (PAT) and ABCDE approach, recognize early signs of shock, and understand key pediatric differences including vital signs, hypotension, and GCS. They should also use updated triage guidelines and regional trauma system principles to ensure the right patient is transported to the right place at the right time.
