Heather Casebeer, BSN, RN, PECC

Heather Casebeer, BSN, RN, is an Emergency Department Charge Nurse and Pediatric Emergency Care Coordinator (PECC) at Permian Regional Medical Center in Andrews, Texas, where she has built a pediatric readiness program from the ground up in a rural, medically underserved setting. With over 10 years of nursing experience, she specializes in simulation-based education, NPRP assessment, and quality improvement for pediatric emergency care.
In March 2026, Heather was appointed as the J RAC and K RAC PRISM (Pediatric Readiness Improvement Simulation Mentor) for the Joint Regional Advisory Councils in Texas, where she mentors PECCs across both regions using the ImPACTS Mentorship Model. She also serves as an elected Director on the Emergency Nurses Association Hi-Plains Chapter Board of Directors. Heather has presented at the International Meeting on Simulation in Healthcare (IMSH) and served as an invited speaker for a National Rural Health Association webinar on NPRP assessment, representing the rural hospital perspective on pediatric readiness.
She is a 2025 HRSA grant recipient through the Texas A&M Center of Excellence in Forensic Nursing, where she is completing Adult/Adolescent and Pediatric SANE certification training.
