<p>Emily Neal, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC has been a dedicated champion of the pediatric community of Louisville, Kentucky since 2002. Her nursing career began in the emergency department at Norton Children&rsquo;s Hospital (Formerly Kosair Children&rsquo;s Hospital) where she assisted in the development of policies for unit safety standards and identification of sepsis in infants. In 2012, she joined Norton Children&rsquo;s Medical Group (NCMG) -Pediatric Protection Specialist; where she assisted in the medical evaluation of children who are the alleged victims of child physical and sexual abuse and neglect. In 2022, she joined NCMG-Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine, where she has been providing holistic, quality, and cost-effective healthcare through evidenced based practice to children of the community. She received the Florence Nightingale Award in Nursing from UofL SON in 2016 and the UofL SON Impact Award for Community Health in 2021.</p>
