Josie Kik RN BSN CPEN has nearly over 28 years caring for the pediatric population. Areas worked have been PICU, Pediatric Oncology/BMT, and various emergency departments. She has held various leadership roles such as the management of certification programs; TNCC, ENPC, and PALS for a large health care system. She has been involved in global health care projects in Mexico, Haiti, and Bangladesh. She was a CPEN item writer for three years and served on the ENPC Review committee for 2 years. She currently serves as Michigan Emergency Association (MENA) State Faculty for both ENPC/TNCC from which she currently serves as the chair for the MENA pediatric ENPC committee. She also is part of the 7^th edition ENPC workgroup and the roll out of the new edition coming this fall.  Her continued role is to advocate for Pediatric Readiness throughout the state of Michigan through a collaboration with EMSC, MENA and grants funded by Impacts, Region V for kids, and the PPN. She has demonstrated her passion for caring for children and now strives for the advocacy of children and those caring for them.
