Gwyn Hetzel, Critical Care Paramedic
Gwyn Hetzel has over thirty years of experience caring for patient in both urban and rural settings. She has a passion for teaching and has led several EMT classes. Her students enjoy her creative teaching methods, and her desire to see each student succeed has helped many students pass their NREMT on the first attempt and go on to successful careers in EMS
She is always looking for new opportunities to learn and engage with the EMS community. Gwyn assisted at the inaugural Buechel MedCon EMS Conference in the Fall of 2020. She presented on the ever-challenging topic of managing maternal cardiac arrest and a case study on the Carrollton bus accident and mass casualty incidents impact on responder mental health. at ROSCtober in 2021. She has presented at the Georgetown Scott County EMS conference, teaching about the challenges of seizures in 2023, and obstetric emergencies in 2024.
