Andrew Bernard, MD

Andrew Bernard is a native Kentuckian educated entirely at UK. He completed undergrad, medical school, research fellowship, surgery residency and fellowships in trauma and critical care before joining the faculty in 2004. Before that he was an EMT. His current role is as the Trauma Medical Director for UK's adult level I trauma center and he's the Chief of the Division of Acute Care Surgery. He chairs the Kentucky Chapter of the American College of Surgeons' Committee on Trauma. He loves teaching and being with patients.
