Jeremy R. Urekew is a nationally recognized incident manager, tactical EMS instructor, and technical rescue specialist with over 20 years of experience in high-risk emergency operations. Board-certified as a Tactical and Wilderness Paramedic, he has served in leadership roles across both public safety and private sector missions, directing disaster response efforts, multi-million-dollar recovery operations, and advanced responder training across the U.S.
As Chief Operating Officer of Red River Rescue LLC, Jeremy oversees the development and delivery of specialized training programs in rope rescue, austere medicine, and CBRNE response for emergency responders, DoD units, and federal agencies. He also serves as a Senior Project Manager and Incident Commander for Garner Environmental, where he leads large-scale deployments involving hurricane response, mass care sheltering, and infrastructure protection in urban environments like New York City.
Jeremy’s extensive background includes operational roles with FEMA USAR (Ohio Task Force 1), the Kentucky Hoist Rescue Team, and RedSTAR Wilderness EMS. He has served as a CBRNE Training Specialist with both LEIDOS/CDP and L2 Defense Inc., instructing military and civilian responders in live-agent environments and tactical casualty care.
His instructional career spans over a decade, and he is a certified instructor for TCCC/TECC, a FEMA Structures Specialist, and a Technical Rescue Specialist credentialed in rope, collapse, and confined space operations. Jeremy has trained thousands of responders nationwide and has presented at leading conferences including the National Preparedness Symposium and the International Technical Rescue Symposium.
Jeremy holds a Bachelor of Science in Organic Chemistry and an Associate of Science in General Technical Studies, and he has received numerous accolades including the Department of the Army Distinguished Civilian Service Award, the Kentucky Colonel Commission, and a $750,000 Homeland Security Port Security Grant Award. He is an active member of CoTCCC, IBSC, NAEMSE, and IFSAC.
