Julie Shelton, MPH, CPHQ

Julie Shelton, MPH, CPHQ, ACSM-CEP is a Quality Improvement Professional with a 22-year career in health care. Julie’s experience in healthcare spans wellness, cardiac rehabilitation, facilitation, project management, and implementation to quality and process improvement. After graduating from Appalachian State University, she started her career as a Wellness Instructor before becoming an Exercise Physiologist in Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation in Asheville, NC. Wanting to focus on preventive care, she received a Master of Public Health from East Tennessee State University and found her love of quality improvement.
Julie’s current role is held at the University of Texas at Austin’s Dell Medical School where she works on QI Collaboratives with the Pediatric Pandemic Network. Throughout her career she has been passionate about Infant, Children, and Women’s Health, Improvement and Implementation Science, and Social Determinants of Health. In her spare time, Julie can be found running, practicing yoga, reading, and walking her two dogs.
