Adam Becker, PhD, MPH
Adam Becker received his MPH and PhD from the University of Michigan School of Public Health. He is a Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine. Dr. Becker's academic home within the Department of Pediatrics is in the Smith Child Health Catalyst in the Smith Child Health Outcomes Research and Evaluation Center, part of the Stanley Manne Children's Research Institute. His areas of expertise include the influence of the social and physical environment on urban health, community-based participatory research, program evaluation, and qualitative research methods. Dr. Becker currently serves as the co-lead of the Evaluation Service Core (ESC) for the Pediatric Pandemic Network. The ESC is responsible for the administration of multiple evaluation processes to measure progress of the PPN towards its primary objectives. The Pediatric Disaster Preparedness self-Assessment for Children's Hospitals (PDPACH) is a key component of the PPN's evaluation and serves as the environmental scan for the PPN's Disaster Response Collaborative.
