Brian Barth, RN, BSN, PHRN, BSBA, CHEP
Brian is currently the Manager of Emergency Preparedness at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). The Emergency Preparedness team at CHOP takes an enterprise approach to emergency preparedness across the acute care, ambulatory and specialty care, research, and business occupancy settings. In his current role, Brian focuses on plan development, service line development, emergency response efforts, regulatory compliance, and the EP training and exercise programs. Prior to his time at CHOP, Brian served as a regional manager for emergency management with the Hospital and Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania, working closely with healthcare organizations across southeastern PA and with the Southeast PA Regional Healthcare Coalition.
Brian has been a registered nurse for over 20 years, serving in direct clinical and administrative roles in the emergency department, critical care and trauma, orthopedics and nursing professional development. Prior to his nursing career he spent 15 years working in the prehospital setting as an EMT and paramedic, and currently maintains certification as a prehospital registered nurse in Pennsylvania.
