Regina Yaskey, MD, FAAP

Dr. Regina Yaskey, MD FAAP is a Pediatric Emergency Medicine physician and is the inaugural Pediatric EMS Medical Director at the Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital (RBC), a teaching affiliate for Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, in Cleveland, Ohio. She is an Assistant Professor who serves as core faculty for the Pediatric Emergency Medicine fellowship at RBC and the EMS fellowship at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center.
Dr. Yaskey provides pediatric-specific medical oversight and education for all the EMS squads covered by University Hospitals. She is passionate about Disaster Medicine and is the Chair of Disaster Preparedness and Response at RBC. She serves as the pediatric expert on the Emergency Management Committee. She enjoys advocating for children in both the prehospital and hospital settings for she understands that kids have unique physiologic and developmental needs and are most vulnerable during an emergency or a disaster.
Dr. Yaskey serves on the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) Council on Children and Disasters (COCD) and is the Vice Chair of the AAP EMS Sub-Committee. She serves on the EMS and Supply Chain domains for the ASPR Region V for Kids and works on the Prehospital and Communication Domains of the Pediatric Pandemic Network (PPN). She serves on the Ohio EMSC Advisory Committee. Dr. Yaskey has published several works and given multiple presentations regionally and nationally on EMS and pediatric disaster readiness.
