Dr. Tim Kummer is an Emergency Medicine physician at Hennepin Healthcare and Assistant Medical Director for Hennepin EMS. He leads community paramedicine, EMS outreach, and multiple public-health initiatives focused on addiction care, high-utilizing patients, and building trust between EMS systems and the communities they serve. Dr. Kummer was the first physician on scene during the Annunciation School shooting, helping coordinate EMS response, support reunification efforts, and guide trauma-informed care for students, families, and staff. He continues to work across agencies to strengthen preparedness and response to critical incidents.
